My 1 year old doesnt sleep well?

I have a 1 year old that doesn't sleep well. She wakes up over her binky falling out of her mouth at night. She is so tired but fights sleep so hard. She cries at the same time as she goes to sleep. I have never had this problem with her before. Her bedtime is 9pm and I could lay her in her crib and she would roll right over and go to sleep. Now I am lucky to get her to sleep by 1am! I make sure she has ecverything before I try to put her down for the night. Meaning she's not hungry or has a dirty diaper. She has her night night baby and a blanket and she has classical music she sleeps to since she was born. I don't know what I am doing wrong! I refuse to let her sleep in my bed with me. That's a habbit I don't want her to get into. I don't let her cry it out though... she has a congenital heart defect with lung issues and it is not good for her to get upset.
