What 'baby-safe' solutions can i use on a pacifier ?(pacifier weaning :S)?

there is no easy answer to this and what you are doing isnt such a bad idea but almost every mom I have talked to either let them throw it away on their own are did it for them. If you dont get ride of it it will mess his teeth up. My sis didnt get ride of my nephews now not only do his teeth stick out but they are rotten and worse than an 80 yr olds. So if what you are doing doesnt work just take them away and throw them away as soon as you do so your not tempted to give them to him when the water works start. Remind yourself it is for your babies health you are not hurting him and try to stay calm. Talk to him on his level eye to eye and let him no his pasifier had to go bey bey you could involve his favorite charactor lets say Thomas the train had a mission and choose his spacificaly to help him finish it are something that would make him happy. He will cry and it will be hard for him to fall asleep but he will fall asleep eventually. Day by day it will get easier and within 3 days 7 tops he wont even care it is gone. Unless he sees another kids then you might have some problems. Good luck
