Can someone explain to a white girl from the Midwest..?

I think it's because when white people say it it's more offensive LIKE when a white person says the N word it's racist. And I think the only time it's okay for a white person to use it if they are on good terms with the black person. That word is digusting no matter if it's used among friends or not.
