Change a quinceanera to Christian?

I am Mexican and used to be catholic but now I am christen but most of my family is sill catholic anyway u really want a quince because pretty much all of my family has had one and I like them and it's like a sweet sixteen but traditional and I like that anyway I want to know the catholic parts that are in it and what maybe I could change because ik it's actually a Hispanic tradition not religious but it does have to do with your own religion as well my mom doesn't want me to have one and since I want one she told me to do some research on it and tell her what it is and I did and this is the only thing missing so please answer ASAP!
